Your rank will decide you can get IET or KNIT or not. Your rank is made based on lots of factors not only on your score in the entrance exam.

if you can say your rank than i can say you can get an admission in government college or not.

for a general idea, if your rank is below 1K then you can surely take an admission in the college. If you have general category then your rank needs to be below 100 else you will need to use categorical reservation which may not have.

but you can opt for other branches for sure.
