Hello,

Yes, if you fail in 12th HSC and the re-exams, you can continue as a repeater next year. However, changing subjects depends on your state board's rules.  Some boards allow subject changes only in private (open) exams, not in regular school exams. You should check with your board's official website or your school to confirm whether you can replace Geography with Biology as a repeater.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

Hello,

Yes, you can continue as a repeater even if you fail in the 12th HSC exams and the re-exams. Here are the key points:

  1. You can reappear as a private or regular candidate, depending on the board’s rules.
  2. Changing Subjects: Some boards allow subject changes for private candidates, but not always for regular candidates.
  3. Approval Required: You may need permission from your board to switch from Geography to Biology.
  4. Check Board Rules: Different state boards have different policies, so confirm with your respective HSC board office.
  5. Alternative Options: Consider open schooling (NIOS) if your board does not allow subject changes.

Hope you find it useful !

So you wanna know if you can still repeat 12th grade if you failed twice, and if you can change subjects.

Honestly, it depends on your school and board's rules. Some schools might let you repeat, while others might not.

About changing subjects, you might be able to drop Geography and pick up Biology, but you gotta check with your school and board first.

Here's what you gotta do:

1. Hit up your school: Ask your teachers or counselors about the rules.

2. Check the board's website: Look up your state board or central board's rules.

That's it! Just remember to check the rules and regulations before making any decisions.

Hello Raj,

Yes, you can continue as a private (repeat) candidate if you fail both the regular and re-exams in 12th HSC . However, subject change rules vary by board:

1. Repeating with the Same Subjects

  • You can reappear next year with the same subjects.
  • Register as a private candidate through your respective state board.

    2. Changing Subjects (Geography to Biology)

  • Some state boards allow subject changes for private candidates, but major subject switches (like Geography to Biology ) might not be permitted.

  • You need to check your state board’s rules (e.g., Maharashtra HSC, CBSE, etc.).

    What You Should Do:

  • Visit your school or board’s official website for clarification.
  • Contact your board’s regional office to confirm subject change eligibility.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
