JEE Main has nothing to do with becoming a Professor. JEE Main is a national level examination which is conducted for admission to various engineering colleges of the country including NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main qualified candidates can appear for JEE Advanced for getting admission to IITs, IISc etc. The minimum qualification required for Jee Main is that the candidate must have passed his/her intermediate from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry along with English. However there is no minimum percentage barrier but for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and To be eligible for Jee Advanced, at least 75% aggregate score in 12th is required for general category candidates. Through Jee Main, you can get admission to your desired engineering college. But for becoming Professor, Master's degree is required in most of the fields. You can appear for UGC Net, CSIR Net etc and they have their own eligibility criteria.
