you got 80 percentile in JEE mains so your expected rank would be around 170000 and the seats in NIT are limited to 30000 so you can and understand that it is not possible to get a seat in NIT at this score.
You have JEE main April attempt and you can score better in that exam and then only you will be able to get a seat into NIT.
Assuming 10 lakh students appeared for the exam then you need to have less than 30000 rank in JEE main to get a seat into NIT therefore you need to get at least 97 percentile if you belong to general category to get the seat into NIT.
