Securing 99 percentile in JEE Main is not a joke, many students even after preparing for three whole years end up with 97-98 percentile. The first phase of JEE Main is scheduled to be held in February End or March first week according to sources of repute, followed by the Second JEE Mains probably in first week of May. If you are totally new to preparation or have just been thorough with Std 12 Books, I would suggest you to target 95-97 Percentile in the first phase of JEE Main, and once you achieve this, having more or less secured a seat in a NIT or GFTI, you can work on your revised targets and try to score higher in the second JEE Main session in May. But your first Target should be to secure atleast 95-97 percentile or approx 125/300 in the first JEE Main. If you have studied the NCERT Material, some of the crucial material I would suggest for the next 3 months for preparation are
1. Allen Maths Handbook (PDF Available)
2. Arihant Physics/Chemistry Handbook
3. Resonance Rank Booster Package JEE Main
4. Arihant Physics in 40 Days/ Crash Course +DC Pandey Objective Book
5. Arihant Previous Years Book PCM /Disha Target JEE Mains Book
6. Allen JEE Main Test Series/ Other Reputed Test Series.
Besides proper selection of preparation Material what you also need is a proper test taking strategy and regular studies with Notes and a Formula Notebook. There might be many things you still dont know or perhaps you come across while solving concepts, do make a note of them for these months and try to revise the notebook and your handbooks on weekends before giving mock tests.
To score above 99 percentile, you'll need a score of more than 150-160 marks. Jee can be cracked with a hard work of atleast 1-2 years. This cannot be achieved with a hard work of 2-3 months. But you can try your best. You can practice previous year's questions. But it is not practically possible. You can try your best.
