Microbiology is a huge field and it covers various topics such as> plant microbe interaction, fermentation and other industrial use, medical usage, food industry etc. So when asking one needs to be really specific. The scope varies according to the type of job you want, if you want to be in research area and become a professor or scientist or you want to be in r & d in an industry or something else?
