Hello Aspirant,

No you won't be eligible for NEET 2024 as per the current eligibility criteria because the current eligibility criteria says that the candidate should have completed minimum 17 years of age as on December 31st of the examination year and by December 31st 2024 you will not complete your 17 years of age so you will eligible for NEET 2025 if you qualify the percentage criteria of class 12th which is described below :

You can appear for NEET 2021 if you have passed/appearing for your class 12th/PUC with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and english as mandatory subjects and also you should have your minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB if you belongs to Unreserved category, 40% for OBC/SC/ST and 45% for PwD certificate holders.

For complete details about NEET 2021 Eligibility criteria kindly check out the link given below :-

Hi

No, you are not eligible for Neet 2024 examination with your date of birth on29th August 2008

This is because,

To be eligible for Neet examination one needs to be at least 17 years old by 31st December the year in which one is attempting Neet i. e To be eligible for Neet 2024 examination one needs to be at least 17 years old by 31st December 2024

But you fail to fulfill this criteria with your date of birth on29th August 2008 as you will be 17 years old on29th August 2025i. e after 31st December 2024 and thus you are not eligible for Neet 2024 examination with your date of birth.

But yes, you will be eligible for Neet 2025 and onwards with your date of birth as you will turn 17 years on29th August 2025 i.e before 31st December 2025

Also,

To be eligible for neet , one must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got :-

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st category
  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
