In AMU seats are of three types namely-

1. AMU internal

2. AMU open 

3. AMI NRI

First one is for the internal students of the university. Second one is open for students all over India and third one is for NRI students.

If you are a internal student of AMU then you can be alloted a seat under AMU internal quota other wise you will be allocated a seat under AMU open quota seats.
