You need to fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply for nimcet i.e. Graduate or in final semester.

Nope, in any entrance exam you need to be either in final year of graduation or graduate to be able to appear for the examination. 

In almost every competitive exams, the eligibilty is for recent graduates and final year students ( known as appearing candidates ).
