Hello,

Usually one could join in the second year engineering through lateral entry after diploma.

Since there is no common entrance at all India level, you need to decide where you want to study and follow admission procedure. Usually there will be entrance exams based on which you will seat allotment. Private Universities will have their own admission procedures.

One can join 2nd year engineering through later entry in AP & Telangana after diploma. For this, one need to write an entrance exam ECET(Engineering Common Entrance Test). Based on the rank, the candidate will get admission to the good engineering colleges through allotment. The candidate will get to choose the colleges and join and study. This happen through web counselling. Certificates will be verified before web counselling and after getting the rank.
