Dear aspirant

As you are neet aspirant this year and if you want to join Indian army so your prime focus should to get High score and get a seat in Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

Benefits of getting this college is you will have to serve Indian army for sure. they do have a bond that after completing your course you will have to serve in army for 7 years , but there is a option that you can come out of AFMC anytime you want after completion of your course , by paying bond amount to the government.

Candidates must note that admission to the institute is not done solely on the basis of NEET UG scores, as the authorities conduct separate counselling for the seats. AFMC MBBS counselling 2020 is divided into various steps which candidates are required to successfully complete in order to be eligible for admissions. AFMC MBBS 2020 counselling involves various steps that are to be successfully completed by the candidates to secure a seat for themselves. These steps are ToELR (Test of English Language Comprehension & Logical Reasoning), document verification, Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), medical examination and Personal Interview by the Board of Officers.

Other ways to join Indian army after the mbbs are Recruitment to the medical posts are through Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC).50% of the graduates passing out from the Armed Forces Medical College Pune are taken directly into Permanent Commission and the rest are offered Short Service Commission. Doctors from civil medical colleges are offered only SSC entry. SSC officers are required to serve for a minimum period of 5 years. The SSC may be extended by another two terms of 5 years and then 4 years upto a maximum of 14 years. AFMC graduates offered SSC are required to serve for a minimum period of 7 years extendable by another 7 years.

Hope this information helps you

All the best !!!
