Dear Aravind, for a candidate of General Category to be qualified in NEET, he/she should score atleast 50% of top NEET score. For example, if the top NEET score is 700, a general category student should score 350 to be qualified. Now not all qualified candidates can get a medical seat. Cut offs vary from year to year. Then there is All India Quota and State Quota. Cut iff depends on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, difficulty of the exam and top NEET score. Every State had its own cut offs. For example in Tamilnadu 655 marks secured a medical seat in State Quota. Else where, this score is enough to get a Medical seat in All India Quota. So if you have any particular state in mind, please do let us know.
