In all aspects IIT have advantage over IIIT and I would suggest to join IIT before any IIIT in any aspect whether it's research,  education,  faculty, infrastructure, placements.

Dear aspirant

If you compare between IIT and IIIT, then IIT is far better than IIIT in the context of quality education overthere in IITs. Also, person from iit have great experience and have high chance of getting job ,if they are not placed with company they want.But if you are getting branch like cs in any IIIT.then, you should try to grab,since almost all the IIIT are good in cs branch, as most of the student from cs are already placed with in good company with high package.

Cse or ece interest

Actually IIIT hyd is very good but many other IIITs are not that great.

Even iits are excellent in education for cse branch no doubt but IIIT Delhi Bangalore are good

IIT focusses on all subjects whereas iiit is only for computer science related courses including ECE also
