Dear Aspirant,

The number of sets which involves questions related to physics, chemistry and mathematics in JEE Mains is different every year. Some years, it was 7, some year it was 10, some others year, a different number of set.

In reality, the number of sets doesn't matter a lot as far as scoring marks for a JEE Mains candidate is concerned. The JEE Mains set may vary for every candidate, but every set have the exact same questions in every candidate's question booklet. The only difference being is that the order of the questions is changed or rather the questions are shuffled. It is usually done so that there is no way that students can exchange answers in the Examination hall as all the questions are multiple choice type and passing by answers is going to be relatively easy. By this way, there is plausibility that some students qualify or score good marks out of luck and not because of their preparation.

I hope you understood what I was trying to say. As a student, you should not be worried about what set it is, rather focus on your job in solving maximum problems in record time to secure a better rank in the JEE Mains exam. This way you can have a more guaranteed success. The sets are no different, just presenting a different order of questions in the booklet.

Good luck for your exams.
