It seems your question is incomplete, anyway the first prime minister of India was Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who took the oath on 15th August, 1947 thereby being the first prime minister of Independent India, he served till 27th May, 1964. He had a long tenure of successive seventeen years to his credit belonging to INC, he was a prominent leader of his time.
