Before you take the decision of dropping first go through this tweet of HRD Minister on his official twitter handle , Due to the partial cancellation of class XII exams by several Boards, Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for #JEE (Advanced) 2020 qualified candidates this time.
So, now you can clearly see that he said and NTA also clearly said that the 75% eligibility system has been removed for the year 2020 only.
So, now decision is upto you and the other option you have is to apply for improvement exam to increase your board percentage.
I hope this helps.
This criteria is removed for this year only.
There is no notification for the next year that whether next year cutoff will be decreased or not.
It is still to be declared by the Government that This Criteria will be for next year too or it is for this year only.
Also You can take good college on basis of your JEE MAINS Marks too.
I will recommend you to check All The Colleges, That is available for You on basis of your rankings and Reservation, Then You can also check that at Our JEE MAINS COLLEGE Predictor. That will be very helpful for You. And Then You can easily compare good colleges and choose which one will be best for you.
