Hello dear candidate,

Hope you are doing well,

Here is the simplified answer for your question, Neurosurgery or Master of Surgery in Neurosurgery is a two-year post-graduate programme.
Neurology  is useful for diagnosis and treatment of diseases, disorders and injuries of the brain, nervous system and spinal cord.
A three-year course of MS in neurosurgery is required. After MS neurosurgery a five-year course of M.ch in neurosurgery as a super specialization is required to become a neurosurgeon.

Hope this information will help you,

Thank you.

hi reader ,

MS degree means master of surgery.

if you pursue MS in the subject of neurology then you are referred as Neurosurgeon.

if you pursue MD in neurology then you are referred as neuro physician.

you also go for M.Ch (Neurosurgery) for super specialization in the field of Neurosurgery.

i hope this helps

thank you
