The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are a group of autonomous government public medical universities of higher education under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare , Government of India.

At present, AIIMS Delhi admission is on hold due to surge in Covid-19 cases in India. Earlier, admission to MBBS was done on the basis of AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam. This year onwards, AIIMS MBBS admission is based on NEET UG 2020 conducted by NTA.

The east campus of the AIIMS is overhauled by 10,000 patients per day. The AIIMS has also achieved the Kayakalp (first prize for maintaining the cleanliness within the premises) award for being the Cleanest Medical Facility for 3 consecutive years.
