Hello there,
For B.Tech, you need to appear for entrance exams to get admission. Even under management quota, you need to appear for entrance exam. I'm not telling that you should have a good rank, but you need to appear. JEE Main is a national level entrance exam accepted throughout the country. There are state level exams as well. Also, some private universities conduct their own entrance exams. So it is necessary to atleast appear for any entrance exam.
Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

Hey,
The scores of JEE Mains is acknowledged by the government and private Engineering colleges across India. Apart from this, some state level engineering entrance exams are also conducted by some states.
That means, you need to appear for entrance tests if you want to pursue B.Tech in government colleges.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
