Hello there,
Yes, B.Tech in Food Technology is a 4 years course and BSc in Food Technology is a 3years course. Having a B.Tech degree is better than having a BSc degree in the same subject. B.Tech is a technical professional degree which has good career prospects. Generally, after BSc you need to do your postgraduates since BSc is not that job oriented, while in case of B.Tech, it is job oriented.

Also the field you have chosen is still growing and there are few jobs if you do a BSc degree. So it's better if you go for B.Tech in Food Technology as it ensures job opportunity.

Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!
