Hello Rachna,
BAMS is still a growing field with low competition and less vacancy also whereas BDS has more competition and less vacancy. After doing BDS, you have a more chance to open your own clinic.
But in case of BAMS you may have a opportunity to serve in hospital as there are many ayurvedic hospital opening now.
Last decision is yours.
Good luck

Dear Aspirant,

Both courses are quite different. BDS is a course which will put a limit or a boundary on your career. You could either be a Dentist or nothing. But this does not mean a bad thing. We are in fact, falling short on Dentists in our cities and doing a BDS is certainly a good thing. BAMS on the other hand despite its multidimensional approach is losing its charm as most of the patients do not want to go to a BAMS doctor.

Therefore, if these two are the only choice you have and you have no problem on becoming a doctor then I suggest BDS, however, if you do not want to limit yourself to that do BAMS.

Hope this helps.

Thank You.
