Dear aspirant,

According to your query,

You would like to know that both colleges are good as NIT is one of the top ranking college of India but at the same time GEC is also stands good in state level colleges.  But as you mentioned in NIT you will Biotechnology and in GEC you will get mechanical so if you see scope wise and placement wise then obviously you should prefer GEC for mechanical as it has much greater scope in India particularly.

Hope you find it useful.

Thank you.

While NIT Calicut is one of the top NITs in a country GEC thrissur is a very good state level college. On the basis of college GEC thrissur does not stand infront of NIT calicut but when it comes to branch then definitely biotechnology has less scope than mechanical. Thus, you should make your choice in accordance with the fact that whether you prefer college or branch. Hope this helps.
