Some institutions take thier own entrance exam like IPU CET for Indraprastha University, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board conducts BCECE for admission in institutions of Bihar,  for the admission process, and based on your performance seat is allocated.
Many private institutions gave direct admission on the basis of 12 marks. You have to check according to your college preference.
