The course BSc Maritime science is also known as polyvalent course or dual course. Job opportunities is limited in this field of Merchant Navy only and after onboard training you are eligible to apply for Ministry of shipping's competency exam and if you clear that then you can work as an officer. After completing your BSc Marine science you can only work for deck. But if you do BTech in Marine Engineering then you have privilege to choose either side that is DECK or ENGINE side.
