Hi

Yes, you can appear in NEET 2021 examination even if you are a cbse private candidate ( private Candidate means those who give 12th exam but are not enrolled in any school due to some reasons like have failed in 12th and again appear in the exam to pass it.   )

This is because,

The case of eligibility of private candidates for Neet examination is in Supreme Court but until the supreme court gives its judgement, private candidates are  eligible for Neet examination, so one is eligible for neet as a private candidate in 12th provided they must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

Begin a career in Medical and Allied Sciences. Admissions Open for

Apply to Emversity Allied Health Sciences programs

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

* There is no upper age limit for Neet 2021

* There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

Now that , you  have limited time left for your neet examination I'll suggest you to focus on your preparation and revision,  go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

Thank you

Neha Though you had failed and appeared for 12th as private candidate , your school remains the same i. e from which you had done 12th and that school is your base due to which you were able to appear as a private Candidate later on after failing.

I failed my CBSE exam last year and I'm appearing as a private candidate this year. Am I eligible for NEET when I score the necessary marks? Are private candidates eligible?
