Yes. It is a good book. But i have never read it so i can not assure about it.. if you don't find any error in that book then go for that.. and please dont run towards many books .. study only ample of it but do that multiple times. And do study and revise your coaching's notes regularly and repeatedly..

Good luck..prepare well for your exam..

While cengage is recommended by some people, I personally felt that the questions in that book are pretty high levelled.
You can consider going through the following books :
For mechanisms in organic chemistry : Morrison and Boyd
For conceptual understanding of inorganic chemistry : J D Lee
For physical chemistry : O P Tandon

You can also go through Dinesh chemistry or Complete NEET guide: Chemistry MTG tutorial

Dear chiranthan
Cengage I personally never preferred many of my engineering aspirant friends used to prefer. 1st you read NCERT text books line by line then you can refer any books like OP Tandon, JD Lee. Etc..
All the best

I haven't personally used it. But I have been told by my friends that its difficulty level is quite high. It is good if you are pursuing non medical and aiming for engineering colleges. However, for medical stream, it is not recommended as difficulty level in medical is little less. O.P. Tandon is also a good choice. More people go with it.

Hey Chiranthan,

Chemistry books by Dr. O. P. Tandon published under GRB PUBLICATIONS are considered as one of best books for both medical as well as engineering aspirants. They have a large coverage of syllabus moreover the the explanation of basic concepts is given in sich a detailed manner that you can understand it yourself without the ad of anyone. Moreover previous year questions as well as their self composed questions are so useful that you are definitely getting related questions in every exams. If you want to go through more objective question and previous year papers you can go for DINESH OBJECTIVE FOR CHEMISTRY. However they are struggling with the problem of publishing right answers sometimes but you can easily go through all the question and moreover the explanation given is so emphasised that it provides enough aura for your preparation.

good luck

Hey Chiranthan,

Cengage for NEET Chemistry by R. Sharma is too complex for an Examination like NEET. However, if you are also applying for JEE, then this book can be useful. The concepts are said to be advanced and deeply explained for NEET.
However, if you have started using the book and are comfortable with it, then you might as well stick to he book. In case you feel too stressed out then, there are other alternative books too.
My advise is to stick to your NCERT Textbooks for NEET. I know this can be hard to believe but your NCERT books are all you need to crack an exam like NEET. You need to study your NCERT Text inside out, especially, Organic Chemistry.
I would rather advise you to invest in a objective book i.e. MCQ Question Bank with solutions so that you can practice your questions daily. If you refer to too many references, you may get flustered during your preparations. So choose your resources well and stick to it. Cengage for Physics would be a better option, if you want to buy one. I hope you find this helpful. All the very Best! Keep working hard!
