No it's not compulsory to have maths in 12th standard for MSc biotech through IIT JAM.

Hello Yukti,

Yes, it is compulsory to have maths in 12th to become eligible for IIT JAM biotechnology. But if you don't have maths, then you can study it through NIOS. Give exam of maths and it is very easy to clear exam.

Hello aspirant,
No,It is not compulsory at  to have mathematics as an essential subject in your class 12th board exams for IITJAM examination.

There is no such eligibility criteria for IITJAM exam or for admission in any of the IITs.

So this would not be a problem for you.
