Mamta, you must know that all the government engineering colleges now days demand for atleast 75% in 12 class.

But there are still various private colleges that may not have a good rank or position but they still provide engineering with this 50 percentile in 12. With this low percentile you can face various problems in future mainly during your placements.

During your engineering try working hard in whatever field you are opting for, this may help outshine you hiding your low percentile.

So it's not necessary to have 50% in 12 class with PCM but 1st division marks are always on the better side.

DEAR ASPIRANT,

Many colleges offer engineering cousrses in India the aggregate may vary from college to college for instance if you want to study in Tamilnadu the % set by Anna university this year is 45%for UR and 40% forOBC/ sc/st and in maharashta it is 50% for UR and 45% for OBC/SC/ST so its all upto the state higher education department if you are being specific to a state , please post it below.

Hey Mamta, hope you are doing well. The minimum eligibility criteria for all the private colleges which accept the JEE Mains score require atleast 50% overall in 10+2 boards. For JOSSA COUNSELING the minimum eligibility criteria is 75% overall in 10+2 baords. Hope it helps!! Good luck!!
