Hello,
Yes, Kolkata Police Law Institute is mainly for the children of police personnel and serving/retired policemen.
General students usually do not get admission there. It is not open like a regular law college for all.
Hope it helps !
The Kolkata Police Law Institute mainly offers courses for police personnel, especially the 3-year LL.B. and 2-year LL.M., which are primarily for in-service members. However, the 5 year integrated B.A. LL.B. program does have a few seats open for general students who have completed 10+2, though most seats are reserved for police wards. So yes, general students can apply, but options are limited compared to police personnel.
Hello Shreyosi
The Kolkata Police Law Institute is not exclusively for policemen, but most of its courses are reserved for police personnel and their children, with limited or no seats for general students.
Although there are no general students in the 2 year LLM program and the 3 year LLB course, there are some general students who are studying in the 5 year BA LLB Course.
