Dear Syed, there are around 500 Medical colleges in India. 255 are Government colleges with 30,455 seats and 275 are Private colleges with 36165 as per March 2018. And this year almost 15 lakh srudents applied for NEET. So going by this data, around 60% of the students are studying in Private colleges. Apart from the reason that Government sears are few, students opt for Private colleges due to the infrastructure and exposure it gives to a Medical aspirant. With the high amount of fees being taken, it is compensated in a way with the Infrastructure and Faculty. The rest almost is the same. MBBS is a degree worth it from anywhere be it a Private college or a Government college. What makes it worthier is how you utilise the opportunity.
