Both fields are varied and both of them have varied importance.

Mechanical Engineer works for advancing works related to Machines, Mechanical components mainly.

Electonics and Communication engineer works in Telecommunication, circuits, etc.

Future scope of both the fields is very good and job prospects is also nice.

If you have to opt any one of them then please opt the one in which you are more interested.
