Dear applicant, officially none of the Institutes will let you use either mobile or laptop in the hostel premises. However as you know unofficially you get immense opportunities to use mobile phones as well as laptops. But make sure you don't get caught red handed in front of the warden, try to use it as least as possible and use laptops only when nobody is around.
