Yes, NCERT Books are sufficient for NTSE Exam. However, for stage 1 students should also follow the state board books of Class 9th & 10th.

Yes, NCERT books are best for NTSE exam preparation but you should also refer other books. You should read NCERT books throughly each and everthing is important. Read NCERT books for social studies class 6-10 and biology objective questions. For reasoning, R.S. Agarwal is best. Practise previous year question papers for good command on subjects. You can also donwload pdfs of books for practising model papers of exam.
