Is PCB group required for BHMS...??
NEET is the only entrance examination for admission to all Medical, dental and Ayush courses in India and in Abroad. AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS have been scrapped and from this year, these two exams are merged with Neet. Therefore, admission to these colleges will also be done on the basis of Neet Examination. Until any changes are made, for Medical, dental and ayush colleges throughout India will offer admission on the basis of Neet score. Currently, all medical, dental and ayusy colleges of India are accepting Neet score. Now for getting admission to BHMS you need to appear and qualify Neet. And to appear for Neet, you must have passed 12th with PCB and English along with 50% aggregate marks in PCB for general category, 45% for Pwd and 40% for SC, ST and OBC. This 50% criteria involves both theory and practical marks of PCB. So PCB is required to get BHMS through Neet.
Dear aspirant
The basic requirement for the eligibility to get the admission to BHMS programme is qualifying the 10+2 examination with 50% marks(for gen) and 40% marks ( for sc&st) . The candidate must have the physics, chemistry and biology in 12th class. The minimum age limit prescribed is 17 years. so you should necessarily fulfill this two criteria for the admission in BHMS courses. Also NEET is the only exam through which you can get admitted to this courses in india anywhere.
