If we see both private and govt colleges provide the same degree after mbbs.but the main difference is in fees.

Private medical colleges are full of amenities and luxuries .On the other hand  Govt medical colleges may look dirty or less glamorous to you. But at the end of the day,
  • Top rankers will take admission into the best Govt Colleges ,irrespective of their economic capability .
  • Govt Medical colleges also recruit the best of the best professors.
  • Private colleges take a huge chunk of money from you just to teach you the same subjects.
  • You'll get exposed to huge number of patient during your training at Govt colleges

Hence if you secure a good rank and have the opportunity to take admission into a good govt college, just do it.
On the other hand, if your rank is not good and private medical colleges are the only option for you ,then take admission there.

Hope this answers your doubt.
