Many students who have scored good percentile above 97 in jee main and still not received admission through jee main just because they are General.
This is sad part of your system but focus on your studies and get good Rank in midst of all these inequalities. Surely the other castes are going to get good college inspite of not scoring as good as some General category student.

Obviously yes!!
It affects the jee mains cutoff as well as the cutoff of colleges like NITs,IIITs that takes admission through jee mains.Mostly it harms the chances of general category students in getting admission into colleges.
But it can not be changed so try to prepare hard for jee mains 2018 and if you want yop colleges then try to score 200+ marks in jee mains.

Hai Siddhant, yes reservations alway plays important role in jee mains as we are in india it was mandatory case for as along as the educational system was like this there will the reservations, apart for that for jee score more marks try to score minimum 200 marks then there will be no problem for getting seat ,yes it was a difficult task but it was for once try hard you will be succed as there was less time prepare on previous papers all the best
