Hello Yazhini,

What you need to understand is that, mechanical engineering and aeronautical engineering are two totally different domains. Aeronautical engineering and Aerospace engineering are associated with each other but not mechanical with aeronautical engineering.

So the syllabus for aeronautical engineering and Mechanical engineering would be very different from each other.

The syllabus for an aeronautical engineering consists of topics like, Fluid flow equations, basic concepts in Thermodynamics, grid generation, Basics of propulsion and heat transfer, Air standard cycles, Properties of pure substance, basics of flight mechanics, aircraft configuration, airplane structures, aircraft engine and many more topics.

Where is mechanical engineering syllabus consists of Mechanics, Kinetic, Dynamics, Production Technology, Material science and Metallurgy, Metrology and Measurement and also thermodynamics.

You can find the full syllabus from this link,

Hope this helps, Thank you

All the best
