Is the registration process different from filling in application form?

Hello PSP,
During registration process exam authority or college ask you personal and basic information like contact number,name and email id.
During application form they will ask for educational details,extra curiculum information and so on.They might ask to submit statement of purpose it depend which exam or college you are applying.

Thank you for the info. I understand your point but what got me confused was if registration and application form are done differently at different point of time for TANCET examination. Because i read a note like ' TANCET application filing to start as soon as registration ends'. However, can someone confirm if TANCET 2019 link has opened or not. I am unable to find any info about it in the Anna university site.Thanks in advance.
