The syllabus of JEE mains and advanced are little bit different. Few topics are included in JEE mains but not in JEE advance and Vice -versa

For example,

In Physics, the following topics are included in JEE mains but are not included in JEE advanced examination:-

• Electronic devices
• Electronic waves
• Communication system

Similarly, thermal physics is a part of JEE advanced syllabus but not JEE Mains.

Similarly there are differences in the syllabus of JEE advanced and JEE mains for chemistry and mathematics as well
