To be very honest buddy, no. Your chances of getting into any national institute of technology are minimal. But, you should keep your options open and keep trying for other exams and their ranks.

You want to take a drop? Consider if you have given your best. Then maybe you may not improve. Ask yourself if you could have done better. If you think you gave it your everything then no, don't take a drop, because you will land in the same place. Rather try other colleges and excel in them.
