The Visva Bharati University is a Public Central University and an Institution of National Importance located in Santiniketan, West Bengal. It is one of the oldest universities in India. The University is ranked 31st in the list of best Universities in India by NIRF.

Master of Arts in Ancient Indian History Culture and Archaeology is two-year duration full-time postgraduate course offered by Visva Bharati University. The admissions is given to the shortlisted candidates on the basis of a nominal witten exam test of 100 marks. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of following eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be a graduate with at least 45% marks in aggregate in AIHC&A or the candidate should be a graduate with at least 50% marks in any of the following subjects - History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Comparative Religion, Anthropology, Chinese and Geography or Science Graduates in Physics/ Chemistry/Botany with atleast 55% marks in Honour may also apply.
