No, there is no such additional criteria for getting admission in mining engineering in NITs.

Criteria for all branches of Engineering is same whether it is IITs, NITs, IIITs or GFTIs.

If you are getting Mining engineering in any of the good NITs, then you should go for that, without worrying about additional eligibility criterias because there are none.
