Hello Brijesh

Local Board exams no longer have any sort of weightage in JOSAA counselling. Your board exam percentile has no effect on your admission into NITs.

96 percentile is a very good score and you are very likey to get into an NIT. Since your home state is Gujarat, you have a very high chance of securing a seat there.

For example, General HS closing rank for Chemical Enginerring is around 30,000. For courses like Physics, it hovers around 50,000.

All the best!
