Hello,

Sorry, but IISc doesn't offer B.Tech through JEE Mains but rather through the JEE Advanced. It means first you have to clear the mains and then complete the advanced to get admission to this institute. Then, for the eligibility to take these exams, you need to pass 12th with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

I hope it will clear your query!!

IISc Bangalore gives admission to its four year Bachelor of Science (Research) course through JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, and earlier KVPY.

In JEE Main 2024, the cutoff was very high. For General category it was around rank 903, for EWS around 1214, for OBC around 1665, for SC around 581, and for ST around 314. This shows that only students with very good JEE Main scores can get a seat in IISc.

To appear in JEE Main you must pass or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There is no fixed minimum percentage required just to write JEE Main, but some colleges ask for at least 75 percent in Class 12 for admission. You can attempt JEE Main only a limited number of times in back to back years.

The seats in IISc for the BSc (Research) program are very few. That is the reason the cutoff ranks are very strict compared to other colleges.

Securing a seat at IISc through JEE Main is extremely difficult as only top ranking candidates are considered for its limited seats in the B.Sc Research program.

But dont worry if your rank is below 1000 in jee mains you will easily get seat at IISC.

now coming to JEE Main eligibility you must have passed your 12th-grade examination with PCM and appear for the exam within a three year period following your 12th grade.

GOOD LUCK!!
