Hi Murali,

see, both these colleges are IITs, considered to be the best engineering college in the nation. IIT Roorkee ranks no.1 in the IITs, so you can say it is a better institute.

But in case of branches, it is hard to tell as both these subjects are very in demand right now and companies need computer engineers as much as they need electrical engineers.

hope this helps.

Hello,

Both the options mentioned by you are very good. If you are interested in electrical related stuff, you should go for IIT Kanpur electrical engineering but if you are interested into technical stuff specially coding and all, I would suggest you to join IIT Roorkee CSE. But if you are not inclined towards any branch or college, you may choose CSE at IIT Roorkee because first of all, CSE is most demanded branch of engineering with lots of scope. Also, IIT Roorkee CSE is well known for its academics and placements. But again, choosing the branch is completely your choice. Make sure that whichever of these two options you choose, choose wisely.

I hope it helps. For any further queries, ask me in the comments.

All the best!!!
