There are 2 cases for this,

• Firstly, if you have been preparing for CAT for a decent period of time the last month should be devoted to revision and mock tests. Do not try to attempt any new book or crash course as that might spoil your prior preparation. Go through your study materials and attempt as many mock tests as possible. This will increase the confidence in you and prepare you for the exam day.
• Secondly, if you have not been preparing for CAT before this period you should take a crash course in any institute. Many institutes offer such courses. Otherwise it is advisable to spend a week each in VERBAL, LR/DI and QUANT by following any study material on CAT. Use the last week to give Mock tests and prepare yourself for the exam day.

I would like to add that there are people who have cleared CAT with less than a week of preparation too. Therefore one month is a really long period if you plan to devote the whole days for this purpose.

A plan should involve:

• Revise all the basic concepts across all chapters. Then later you will be able to handle advance problems.
• You can also take up coaching material to practice and the focus should be more on understanding the method used to solve and the steps and techniques involved.
• Practice mock tests and emphasis should be on actual solving of the problems.
• You can also practice and solve logical puzzles.
• The good old grammar books like 'Wren & Martin' are still the best for this area and a quick revision is the key here.
• Do not leave geometry as it is important plus marks fetching section.
