Hii There,

Photosynthesis is a vital life process that occurs in plants, algae, and some bacteria, and it plays a fundamental role in the Earth's ecosystems by producing oxygen and providing a source of energy for most living organisms. This process allows these organisms to convert sunlight into chemical energy in the form of glucose (a type of sugar) while releasing oxygen as a byproduct.

Photosynthesis begins with the absorption of sunlight by specialized pigments called chlorophyll, which are found in the chloroplasts of plant cells. Chlorophyll absorbs light energy from the sun, primarily in the blue and red parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Using the energy from sunlight, chlorophyll molecules in the chloroplasts convert water and carbon dioxide into glucose and oxygen through a series of complex chemical reactions. This process can be summarized in the following equation:

6 CO2 + 6 H2O + light energy → C6H12O6 (glucose) + 6 O2

In this reaction, carbon dioxide and water are transformed into glucose and oxygen.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks
