If u are sure about ur selection in JEE mains examination then don't go for BCA incase if u have any doubt for JEE mains examination u should go with BCA course.

First of all, if you are confident that you can get an engineering seat next year if you drop and prepare for a year then I ll suggest you to drop a year and prepare. While BCA is also a nice course but it will depend on which institute you are doing BCA from.
If the colleeg you are doing your BCA from is good and it will provide you good package after the course then dont drop and continue with BCA.
At the end of the day if you are 100% confident that you will be able to get reall good marks (to fetch you colleges like NITs or other good engineering colleges) only then drop a year otherwise do not.
