minimum marks to get nit sc category
Dear aspirant,
As far as the minimum marks is concerned, to be honest it can't be predicted and that too category wise because every year the quality of candidates is different and also number of sc category candidates will be different so it's very difficult to predict the score. In addition difficulty level of the paper is also considered.
If i were to judge the percentile then as per my prediction then if you score atleast 85-90 percentile then you would get nits like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, allahabad, rourkela, Calicut, Trichy, warangal, surathkal. For non core branches it would be more.

Hi
This difficult to predict the marks/percentile / rank you require in JEE mains to get into NITs etc as closing rank keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like
----------) number of students/ candidates that appeared in the jee main exam,
-----------) number of available seats,
-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.
-----------) branch preference by different candidates
-----------) the category you belong etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2021 for sc category :-
------------------) National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh :- Metallurgical and Materials Engineering :- 9135 sc rank
------------------) NIT, Raipur :- Bio Medical Engineering :- 9446 sc rank
------------------) National Institute of Technology Agartala :- Physics (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)):- 10530 sc rank

So, to get a seat in NITs, you need at least around 9k -10k sc rank, and for that you need at least around 85 percentile i. e around 75 -80 marks roughly in terms of marks as per past year trends
