Hi

So, in order to decide which should you take up, depends on two important decisions to be taken. First on the basis of the branch of study. Second, as both the courses are somewhat similar, the choice has to be made over colleges.

Firstly, if we compare MNIT Jaipur and NIT Rourkela, then definitely NIT Rourkela stands far better. It is among the top 5 NITs in the country. Secondly, if choice has to be made between Metallurgy and Chemical, both the courses will deal things related to chemistry, yes in Metallurgy you might be required to learn a little about Mining as well. Both the courses are quiet similar.

According to me, you should choose Chemical Engineering in NIT Rourkela. Still, your interest matters.

Best of Luck.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
